SK Spring Holiday STEM Camp 2026 - Paper Circuits, Breadboard Electronics, Scratch Games, Python Animations - Caroline Springs
Why This Camp Is Different

At SK Spring STEM Camp, there are no pre-assembled kits and no instruction sheets to follow step by step. Children build from scratch - real circuits, real code, real problems to solve.

Across 4 different STEM programs in one week, children discover what genuinely interests them. They wire circuits with their own hands, write code that does something they designed, and debug problems nobody solved for them. For many children, this is their first real access to hands-on electronics and programming - and it's the kind of experience that turns a passing curiosity into a lasting passion for STEM.

For Screen-Time-Conscious Parents
Productive Screen Time vs Passive Screen Time
- Passive Screen Time
  • YouTube / TikTok scrolling for hours
  • Gaming - entertaining but nothing built
  • Passive watching, passive learning
  • Screen off = nothing to show for it
+ Productive Screen Time
  • Build your game. Play it. Improve it.
  • Python animations - their own code
  • Active creating, debugging, solving
  • Screen off = real skills, real pride

And half our programs never touch a screen at all - Paper Circuits and Breadboard Electronics are entirely physical. Copper tape, LEDs, real components in hand. Most parents notice a shift after just 4-5 weeks: their child starts seeing screens as tools to create with, not just entertainment to consume.

Real Talk from Real Parents
Why Families Travel Across Melbourne to SK Robotics EDGE

"Children come from Craigieburn, Tarneit, Fraser Rise, Hillside and Aintree - well beyond the local Caroline Springs area - not because it's the closest option, but because they can't find this experience anywhere. An engaged instructor who challenges every child, doesn't spoon-feed the code, and allows children to be creative. Children help each other debug their code, troubleshoot their circuits, and celebrate each other's builds. The energy in the room is something parents notice the moment they walk in."

After each session, Sanjeev gives parents honest, specific feedback - not sugar-coated praise, but exactly what clicked, what was hard, and what to build on. Parents say it's the first time they've left a program actually knowing what their child learned.

SK's regular weekly robotics program already draws children from Craigieburn, Tarneit, Fraser Rise, Hillside and Aintree - parents who decided the quality makes the drive worth it every single week. The spring holiday camp brings that same hands-on teaching to an intensive one-week format - a perfect platform to start your child's STEM, Coding or Robotics journey. Across 4 programs in one week, your child gets to discover what excites them most and point to what they love. Sanjeev can then guide parents on where their child is naturally leaning, what's appropriate for their current learning level, and the right next step forward.

💡
Paper Circuits
Electronics Track · Entry
Copper tape, LEDs, coin cell batteries. Kids wire progressive projects - from a glowing lighthouse to a 2-button car indicator circuit. Project is theirs to take home.
Breadboard Electronics
Electronics Track · Advancing
Real components, real circuits - no soldering. Blinking LEDs, button switches, buzzer alarms, and a 3-colour traffic light controlled by 3 separate buttons.
🎮
Scratch Games
Coding Track · Entry
Build and publish a real playable arcade game - moving player, falling objects, score counter, game-over screen. Share the link and the whole world can play it.
🐍
Python Animations
Coding Track · Advancing
Real text-based code from day one. Turtle Graphics, spirals, kaleidoscopes, and geometric art driven by the golden angle - the same maths as sunflowers.

Common Questions
Where is the camp located?
4 Kyneton Circuit, Caroline Springs VIC 3023. Free street parking available. Easily accessible from Taylors Lakes, Deer Park, Hillside, Sydenham, Burnside Heights, Cairnlea, Delahey, Kings Park, Aintree, Mt Atkinson, Fraser Rise, Deanside, Plumpton, Tarneit and Truganina. Families even travel from Craigieburn - because they can't find this experience closer to home.
Does my child need any prior experience?
No. Every program starts from the beginning. Children who have never touched a circuit board or written a line of code join all the time - and do great.
Will my child repeat the same content in Week 2?
Week 1 and Week 2 cover the same four programs. If your child joins both weeks, what they build in Week 2 depends on how far they got in Week 1. Students still consolidating revisit core projects and nail them properly. Students who flew through Week 1 skip ahead to harder challenges - and often help classmates. The second week always goes deeper.
What is Showcase Day?
Friday 2 October, 1-4pm. All families invited, no extra charge. Sanjeev screens a highlights reel from the two weeks, every student receives a certificate, and there's time for photos and celebration. It's the moment parents see - not just hear about - what their child built.
What is the cancellation policy?
5+ days notice: full refund. 3-4 days: 90% refund (10% admin fee). Under 72 hours: no refund (all materials and components are purchased in advance per booking). In genuine cases of illness or emergency, a transfer to a future session or credit toward regular classes may be offered at SK's discretion - we'll always try to find a fair solution.
How do I book?
Book directly at trybooking.com/DPOBP.
